New Housing Underway
Our housing developments have been recognized locally and nationally as cutting edge. Recently completed housing projects and those underway have combined a variety of innovative elements, including mixed incomes (from formerly homeless individuals with no income to market rate tenants); mixed use (commercial and residential); transit oriented; sustainable green features (solar heating, water catchment, etc.); and award winning design.
The following projects are currently under development:

575 S. Alameda Blvd.
Las Cruces, NM 88005Alameda 575 — This is a 61-unit development that will be located on the corner of Alameda and Lohman streets in downtown Las Cruces. The development will serve tenants earning 60% or less of the area median income. The project won the 2010 State design competition and SHC-NM is anticipating a gold LEED certification for the incorporation of green features.
100 Silver Ave. Albuquerque, NM 87102Silver Gardens Phase II — This is the second phase of the Silver Gardens Apartments project located in downtown Albuquerque. This phase will be comprised of 55 mixed-income units. The first phase recevied a platinum LEED certification, and it is expected that the second phase will also receive this designation for its' green design features. SHC-NM is partnering with Romero Rose to develop this project. It is expected to open in the late fall of 2011.
5999 Airport Road
Santa Fe, NM 87507Country Club Apartments — SHC-NM is working to acquire this 60-unit development located in Santa Fe, NM. Once acquired, SHC-NM will complete a minor rehabilitation on the complex.
