Our Management Team
John Ames - Director of Community Housing
Mr. Ames initiated and manages the SHC-NM housing voucher programs including the program for Albuquerque Heading Home, the city-funded Housing First project. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Masters in Divinity. Mr. Ames has fifteen years’ experience in the management of non-profit organizations that serve persons with special needs, including projects with residential and scattered site housing opportunities for these high-risk populations. As a member of SHC-NM’s management team for the past nine years, Mr. Ames oversees the six housing voucher programs operated/managed by SHC-NM with a total of over 300 vouchers and supervises the Service Coordinators that are located at each of our properties. Mr. Ames is also a certified Housing Quality Standards inspector and a Fair Housing Coordinator.
Laurie Frappier – Director of Development
In addition to a collaborative and positive approach to advancing our mission, Ms. Frappier brings a diverse experience in communications and administration in the for-profit and non-profit sector. A lifelong advocate for health and wellness, her New Mexico career began as a program director of Women’s Wellness in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho. She has served in various capacities in the non-profit sector, most notably as a program director for the Mountainside YMCA, event coordinator of the New Mexico Senior Olympics, and as executive assistant for Leadership New Mexico. Ms. Frappier holds a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the College of St. Scholastica and a Master’s degree in Theological Studies from the University of Dayton.
